DSQ Technology is a Pittsburgh-based, independent, bootstrapped company founded in 2020. DSQ’s offerings include waste and recycling software, sensors, and support services to maximize the value you receive from our software. DSQ’s technology suite includes:

DSQ Discovery: waste invoice automation & brokerage operations platform

What is DSQ Technology’s origin story?

The company was founded by brothers Charlie and Brian Dolan, who previously founded and sold Sequoia Waste Solutions from 2011–2022. They built internal tools to manage their waste brokerage efficiently, eventually launching DSQ Discovery in January 2020 and scaling DSQ to be a profitable, 40+ person team without outside funding.

How does DSQ Technology ensure data security and privacy?

DSQ Technology has robust security protocols to keep your data secure and encrypted. Our software architecture employs multiple measures, including row-based security to keep your data separate from others users data. Your Data is stored in the United States of America.

How is AI used within DSQ Technology and what access does it have to my data?

The AI we use is purpose-built for specific functions within our system—it is not connected to any open-source AI models, and it does not share or expose your data publicly.

Importantly, we maintain strict data governance protocols to ensure your information remains private and secure at all times. AI applications only operate within clearly defined boundaries, accessing data strictly as needed to perform the functions you’ve enabled.

Does DSQ Technology offer training or onboarding for new users?
